What do you do?

We help our partners by providing consulting and professional services. Sable focuses on helping small human services nonprofits that focus on violence prevention, food and water security, and disaster response. Our services are free for nonprofits.

Your services are free?!

Yep. We want to remove the barrier to entry that usually stops nonprofits from hiring consulting firms. We’re a nonprofit ourselves.

That’s cool.

Thanks.

How do you help nonprofits?

We partner with them to design and execute projects that will have a lasting positive impact on them and the people that they serve. In non-consultant speak we help them to find problems or opportunities for improvement and then help them take steps to accomplish their goals.

  • We help solve business and operations problems alongside our partners. We leave them with tools and takeaways to make sure they stay successful.

  • Because we can’t be everywhere at once, we created a free learning hub where nonprofits can access playbooks and resources to help them accomplish their goals.

  • Sometimes our partners just need extra hands on a project. We’re happy to support whenever we can.

What nonprofits are you working with?

Right now our partners are South Texas Human Rights Center and Stop Abuse Campaign. You can read more about our partnerships here.

How do you choose projects?

Is the issue urgent? Projects are prioritized by how much of a threat an issue presents. Issues involving food and water security, disaster response, violence prevention or any other immediate threats to life and security will be the most likely to receive our attention.

Is a solution to the issue achievable? We need to be realistic about the impact we can have. We can’t guarantee world peace (as much as we’d like to), but we can do our part. Projects are chosen that match the scope and nature of our abilities.

Is the issue already being addressed? This is where we can step in to help a group of great people realize their full potential and accomplish their goal, setting them up for future victories. In most cases, we believe it’s better to help a group of passionate people who have an existing mission, rather than starting from square one.
